Progress 8
Finished modeling Monsignor in Maya. Kept the poly count low in hopes of speeding up render time. Plus the characters are so simple, theres really no need for a ton of geometry. Also worked out the design for Father Tim.
Modeling in ZBrush
Sent Monsignor's head into Z-Brush for touch ups and details. Used the zremesher tool and pretty much re-meshed it in 10 minutes.
Also refined the shape of the nose so its not so Squidward. Couldn't get that shape for the life of me in maya.
Character Design: Monsignor
Drew a character design for one of the priests. The other I drew while in driving school and its on notebook paper. Will be adding that one soon.
Progress 7
Added some chairs, rugs and finished the pulpit. Continued to tweak the proportions of the church to make it smaller so I don't have to make as much stuff to fill it. Nothing is worst than an empty feeling space.
Progress 6
First week of classes and so now with input from my classmates, I really had to sit down and think. Narrow down my ideas, and start putting it down in blood.
I semi-dread storyboarding because it's the hardest part of the process, but I'm getting the hang of it.
